Aston Villa are said to be interested in signing Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo in the January winter transfer window as they look to bolster their attacking options in the coming months. However, they are only expected to table an offer that will see them sign the player on loan instead of a permanent transfer, with United also not ready to let the player leave the club on a permanent basis. Villa had themselves a very exciting transfer window this summer and signed a couple of players, including young ce tram defender Axel Tuanzebe from United in the summer after the player signed a new contract extension before sealing the loan switch to Villa Park.

However, it looks like Villa manager Dean Smith wants to have more than one Manchester United star at the club and has now asked the club’s board to go all out and try to sign Diallo in the summer. Villa already have a lot of attacking options at their disposal but after making a huge statement with the number of players they signed in the summer, they want to follow up on that as they look to secure a top-half finish in the league come the end of the season.

Former Bayer Leverkusen stareon Bailey was one of the players that Villa signed this summer to fill up their attacking void left by the summer departure of England international attacking midfielder Jack Grealish to League champions Manchester City. Diallo almost left United in the summer and was almost going to join Dutch Eredivisie League side Feyenoord on loan for the end of the season but after picking up a thigh injury in training, the transfer could not go through and Feyenoord signed someone else instead. He could now move to Villa in January.
