I thought signing Bent was Lerner showing he was still willing to invest, putting the rumours at rest, looks like he’s just offloaded young and downing to get his fee back, top 8 would be a high realistic aim for us this season. N’zogbia looks a good player, better than Downing but he’s not Ashley Young. We’ve offloaded Young, MIlner, Barry and Downing which is a mid-field worthy of the top 4 with Bent up front, it a shame whats happened to our club
I really hope bent’s goal tally won’t give McLeish an excuse to play with one up front. (4-5-1) otherwise known as the set out not to lose formation. Villa are a big club despite what others say. We are just in the middle of trying to find stability in the managerial position and financial wise. Once that is all sorted out then we will be back. Anyway going back to what I previously said villa are a big club so they will need to play to win games. I hope mcLeish switches around with the (4-3-3)

As for marlon harewood… he is better than bent (slang for gay) and would destroy all eternity with his talent

Darren Bent is so fucking underrated, he’s one of the only natural born goalscorers there is he is made to score goals, when you sign Darren Bent you get goals, nothing more nothing less, put him in the box and you’ll get a goal and not many strikers can do that, Darren Bent is a goal machine and makes goals out of nothing, class.

@sami0812 Yh mate checked him out before wen we was linked to him when martin oneil was still in charge he looks good but an argument i always come across when discussin it with my mates is could he perform like that in the premier leauge against the likes of john terry, ashley cole, patrice evra and other quality defenders? if we could get him performing top class to come up against those sort of players then i say go for it!! but we are in desparate need of defenders we need a RB and CB
